The rime was thicker at most parts exept for the lower area of Route 1 today than yesterday. The slope looked all white, which was beautiful. It was cold with the temperature at -9℃ at the upper area and -6℃ at the lower area, however, it was nice without wind. The compacted Panorama Course and the area along Line-E (as shown in the photo), which were crowded from morning, were nicely firm and great.

Route 2 was empty in the morning, while the upper area of Route 1 was crowded. The firm compacted slope was covered with 2-3 cm of light fresh snow. The snow was powdery and it was much better than I had expected. However, my ski edges sometimes did not work well as the last area was too firm.

“We enjoy your reports. The rime is fantastic today! We’ll enrol in Ski Academy later.”, a couple who was the first to arrive at Route 2 said. By the way, the lower area of Route 8 was mostly firm but some curves were hard.

Route 5 and 6 were also nice with “the firm compacted snow and 2 cm of fresh snow”. I thought it was good for basic practice. My ski edges sometimes slipped at the lower area of Route 1, which was hard compacted. Some parts were icy as about 2 cm of fresh snow on the surface was driven together by edges, and I saw many people going down slowly.
