When I slid down Line-C around 10:00, the cold gentle wind was blowing from the west and the snow was falling in earnest. Snowboarders from Tokyo, Chiba, and Nagano, who got to know each other at Hakuba47 and became snowboarding buddies, gave me the watchword, “we enjoy your reports!”

My visibility was poor at the upper area of the slope because of the fog and the snow falling heavily. There was about 2 cm of dry new snow at Panorama Course and the upper area of Route 8, which were well-compacted and nicely firm. They were crowded from the morning as it was a public holiday. However, there was no waiting line for the lifts and I enjoyed sliding again and again.

The granular snow was flat but a bit hard at the upper area of Route 1. However, I enjoyed gaining speed thanks to the 2cm of new snow. The slope didn’t get rough and remained in good condition in spite of many tracks.

As I arrived in the lower area of Route 1, I finally reached under the clouds and my field of vision opened up. The flat slope was hard, however, the new snow was making it good. About 80% of the Yonnana parking area had already been full as of 10:30.
