I had expected the snow from yesterday wouldn’t stop, however, it turned into rain in the early morning. But the rain was so weak that it didn’t disturb skiing and snowboarding as of 8:30 a.m.. The granular snow contained a lot of rain and soft at Ipponmatsu Course. A group of students in the third grade at a high school in Hyogo Pref. said, “Our bottom got wet and cold! We think we’ll have chilblains!”

There were not many people but some people were enjoying from the early morning. The granular snow was wet at Ikenota Slope, which was groomed just before the open. The skis were not running well but I could make turns comfortably.

No.3 Quad started on time at 9:00 a.m., whilst it was around 9:30 a.m. that the first track was left at Rabbit Course. It was the two people from Osaka who arrived first. They told me, “We always enjoy your reports! We’re gonna stay until Saturday, but it’s unlucky that No.4 Pair Lift doesn’t work yesterday and today…”

The granular snow was flat and my skis ran very well at the starting to the middle part of Rabbit Course, because they were groomed late. On the other hand, the gentle slope in the last part contained a lot of moisture and the skis were not running. By the way, Snake and Kamoshika Course were closed all the day because of bad conditions.
