The trees in the upper areas of the ski area were covered with snow and ice this morning and especially, the frozen trees around the top station of No.4 Pair and the upper part of Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course (Photo) were so amazing. The coldness came back because of the weak winter pressure pattern, so fine snow was falling in the north wind today.

In the flat off-piste slope of Mt. Hieda Course 1 (Photo), there was 10-15cm fluffy fresh snow. However, there were shallow icy bumps under the fresh snow, so I heard some people surprised at the hard feeling like, “How hard it is!” It was foggy in the upper areas of the ski area, but it didn’t matter for skiing.

The groomed slope of corn snow in Itadaira Course (Photo) was nicely firm and covered with 3-5cm fresh snow, so I could enjoy riding at high speed. The slope was in such good condition that I could enjoy raising a spray of snow at every turn. The groomed slope of Ikenota was also nicely firm and covered with 2-3cm fresh snow and the slope got rough as the ski tracks increased.

Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course (Photo, First Photo) was groomed, covered with 3cm fresh snow and in good condition for any people. The ski area was crowded with people because of the 3 straight holidays. Ikenota was one of the busiest places, so No.2 Quad had a line of people and we needed to wait for a few minutes to take the lift at around 10:00 a.m.
