At the rental booth (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) on the ground floor of Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba, you will have a wide range of choices of high performance model gears (Photo) for powdery snow. You can choose your best gear along with the descriptions and advice from staffs. The rental fees of a gear only are JPY4,000 per 4 hours and JPY5,500 per day.

We went through the frozen trees and light fogs while on the lifts of No.4 Pair. The groomed slope of Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course was nicely firm and covered with 5cm fresh snow. We enjoyed cruising in the long flat course with an average lean of 7 degrees.

There was also 3cm fresh snow on the firm slope of Ikenota. It was slightly foggy this morning, but it did not matter for riding, so we could enjoy skiing at high speed. After that, we had soft sunlight and could see the blue sky sometimes.

Although Tree Area did not have much fresh snow, but I saw people dropping off to the off-piste areas this morning. There is a fun to find your own line between trees at those slopes in Tree Area. In Itadaira, the slope was bumpy, but still soft and covered with 10cm fresh snow as well.
