Cortina / ◎215cm / Sunny & Cloudy2020.Dec.27
The clouds gradually cleared away for a peaceful Sunday. The sun was warm and nice. The groomed run was firm in Ipponmatsu Course (pictured). I had fun carving turns in the powdery snow, getting my skis on edge.

It’s New Year’s Holiday in Cortina. Blessed with beautiful weather, Ikenota Slope and Ipponmatsu Course were crowded from the morning. The soft powdery Hiedayama Rinkan Course was groomed from top to bottom (pictured). Trees in the top area were coated in rime ice.

Itadaira Course was groomed this morning for the first time since opening on Dec.19 (Sat) (pictured). It was about six times as wide as a pisten. My skis ran smoothly, although the snow was wet on the east-facing slope as of 9:10 am because it gets much sunshine.

I enjoyed smooth skiing on Ikenota Slope, although there were many tracks. “I’m checking your reports! My wife and I are giving snowboarding lessons to our two sons.”, a snowboarder coming from Kanagawa prefecture said. By the way, the Pair Lift No.2 service began its operation late around 10:am due to the inspection.
