It was rainy today as the low-pressure area, which developed along the south coast of Japan yesterday, moved east. “We stayed at Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba last night. This is our first time here.”, students from Kyoto and Shiga Prefecture said. The groomed granular snow was nicely loose and my skis ran smoothly in Ikenota Slope.

It was sometimes foggy but visibility was not so bad in the upper area. The groomed granular snow was nicely firm in Mt. Hieda Forest Course. The non-groomed Itadaira Course was undulating and some bushes were exposed.

There were not many visitors today as the weather forecast said it would be rainy. Mt. Hieda Forest Course, Itadaira Course, and Mt. Hieda 1, which can be accessed by taking No.4 Pair Lifts, were especially empty. The bumps of granular snow felt firm in Mt. Hieda 1, although it was rainy. People were skiing and snowboarding slowly as they were difficult to slide down.
