Cortina / ◎120cm / Snowy2020.Jan.31
Due to the long-awaited snowfall, Hakuba Cortina will be able to run on all courses again today! In the base area, a slightly strong wind blew from the northeast, but in the middle and upper ski areas, the wind was weak. Before the opening of the “Powder Festival” for the first time in 10 days, there was a long line mainly for foreigners at No.4 pair platform before opening.
[No.4 Pair Platform]
Visitors who got off the No.4 pair slid into the Hiedayama course 1-3 and the tree area in search of powder. Hiedayama 1 welcomed a fluffy powder of about 30cm!

Tension has risen to the feel of fresh snow, though it has a hard bump. Loud cheers not only from Hiedayama 1 but also from the tree area. Not only at the beginning, but also after a full spur, the snow conditions were good and slippery conditions continued.

Hiedayama forest course (photograph) and the Ikenota slope where 3-5 cm of dry fresh snow rides on moderately compacted snow are extremely slippery. After about 10 o’clock, the snowfall momentum did not diminish.
