The surface fresh snow was about 1 cm deep in the parking area and on the side of the slope. The roof of Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba looked white, covered with a thin layer of snow. It was cloudy and chilly with the gentle southerly wind blowing. I hope we’ll have heavy snow tonight and tomorrow morning as the weather forecast said.

Granular snow was compacted and soft in Ikenota Slope and I enjoyed carving turns there. “We’ll stay for eight days and visit ski slopes in HAKUBA VALLEY!”, six snowboarders from Shanghai, China (pictured) said.

It was chilly in the upper area with the strong wind blowing. The compacted snow was firm and nice in Hiedayama Rinkan Course. Few people were in Hiedayama Course, where there were some hard bumps in the non-compacted snow.

Bumps were smaller in Itadaira Course than in Hiedayama1. It was difficult to keep my ski edges glipping in the hard snow when I made turns. The snow was non-compacted in Ippomatsu Course, Rabbit Course, Snake Course and Warabidaira Slope.
