“We enjoy your reports! We’re excited to snowboard Itadaira Course today.”, two students at Shinshu University coming with a friend from the USA said. The non-compacted Itadaira Course was covered with 5~7 cm of fresh snow as the rain turned into the snow late last night.
[Itadaira Course]
The firm slope was a bit rough with some tall grasses exposed. I enjoyed soft fresh snow on the first slide. (See the photo.) However, the slope gradually got rough with ski trails. For your information, all of the open courses were non-compacted today.
[Itadaira Course]
Hieda Forest Course was firm and nice, covered with 5 cm of fresh snow. Ipponmatsu Course was flat and nice, however, the snow layer was partially thin and bushes were exposed at the middle and bottom part. (See the photo.)
[Ipponmatsu Course]
Ikenota Slope was a bit rough with ski trails left. The slope was covered with 1 cm of fresh snow, which was nice. The northerly wind calmed down around 9 a.m. and it gradually got warm.
