Happy New Year!! Cortina opened on December 28 (Sat) and December 29 (Sun) but it closed again because of lack of snow. It reopened on December 31 (Tue). The snow of blessing piled up during the day and night. And today, the first pair lift has begun to move in addition to the second and fourth pair lifts!!!
[Hieda Forest Course]
Hieda Forest Course of compacted snow is moderately good. A slight bushing was seen in the middle curve (around the branch from the Itabira course), but this did not affect to slide. On the lower part of Mt. Hieda Course 1 (photo) where fresh snow rides on a medium-sized bump about 15 cm (photograph), pampas grass was still scattered.

A man who came all the way from Aomori Prefecture said, “I’m always watching our report! I come to Cortina once a year. This time, I stayed in a car for five days until 1/3 (Tue). It takes a full two days just to come and go from home. ” Thank you for many other calls.

Groomed snow also entered the Ipponmatsu course, which has become a new ski area. There is no bush at the beginning which is moderately tightened. After the middle stage (photo), the bush was noticeable. As time passes, the snow on the surface has been shaved off and the bush has been scattered on the Ikenoda slope that has compacted snow in about half of the course.
