There was a heavy snow warning in Kyotani village at 17:04 yesterday. It snowed so heavily as the warning last night and it still snowed similarly. “We always enjoy your reports!” A man (photo) from Mie and a couple from Aichi talked to us in front of the 3rd quad. They happened to meet and hit it off together because they came from the same area.

the people were informed of that the 4th pair lift doesn’t work because of a danger of a avalanche, there was a line for the 3rd quad lift to slide with the powdered snow. The 3rd quad began to work 20min late at 9:20. The skiers and snowboarders jumped to slide into Rabbit Course one after another despite the blizzard.

There was about 55cm fresh snow at the upper area of Rabbit Course but also some ground area because of the strong wind. The wind became weaker and not so cold in Kamoshika Course. We could turned easily thanks to the soft snow, so there were many people all the time.

There was about 45cm fresh snow in the non-compacted area in Warabidaira Slope. There was also 25cm fresh snow on the soft base in the north of the 6th pair lift around the upper area and the compacted area of the lower area. We saw some skiers getting stuck with the fresh snow on the gentle slope at the last stage.
