Hakuba Norikura / ◎155cm / Snowy2019.Jan.08

19010801_hakunoriIt was snowing just after the slope opened, however, I sometimes saw the sun appearing between clouds (shown in the photo). It was warm with the temperature at +1℃ and nice without wind. About 5 cm of fresh snow lied around No.3 High-speed Pair Lift.

19010802_hakunoriThe ski edges cut into the snow well at the compacted Highway Course, which was nicely firm from top to bottom. I also enjoyed leaving tracks on the white fresh snow in the morning. I saw groups of skiers/snowboarders from overseas sliding down again and again.

19010803_hakunoriThere was approximately 3 cm of snow on the firm, flat slope of Wakaguri Rinkan Course. It was crowded with beginners and the fresh snow was well-tread down. “We belong to Old Temple Society and about 20 members are coming. It’s really fun!”, three snowboarders in the photo said.

19010804_hakunoriSnow started to fall in earnest around 9:30, and I got snow on my ski wear while riding on the lift. I enjoyed sliding down freely at Wakaguri Chuo Slope, which was nicely firm, wide and flat.
