Snowflakes were whirling from clouds in the western sky in the morning sunlight. Wasabidaira Slope and Ippomatsu Course was well-compacted and nicely firm. About 3 cm of fresh snow on the surface was dry and I enjoyed gaining speed.

It was chilly this morning too and the trees at the upper area were covered with rime. “We enjoy your reports. We bought advanced tickets through Snownavi! We’ll spend New Year’s Eve at Hakuba.”, a family coming all the way from Oita said.
[Hiedayama Rinkan Course]
Hiedayama Rinkan Course, where the powder snow was well-pressed, was soft and nice. There was about 15-20 cm of fresh snow on the ups and downs of Itadaira Course that appeared by yesterday. People coming for powder snow scattered as Hiedayama Course 2 and 3 are available from Dec.28 (Fri). So fresh snow was left for a long time at Itadaira Course.

It kept snowing for a while, however, the blue sky gradually appeared from around 9:30. The amount of fresh snow was 15-20 cm at Hiedayama Course 3, where lots of tracks were left. The snow was melting and getting fluffy due to the warm sunlight.
