Hakuba Iwatake always doesn’t lack for topics. At Sky Ark, “Hakuba Deli” has been started on 23rd of July (Thu) and on the same day, the camping area, “Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Field”, has also been open. At there, you can enjoy the full of local foods of Hakuba at both of inside and outside of Sky Ark. The original pickles and dressings are available there as well.

At Hakuba Deli, you can pick up local green salad made in Shinshu, one favorite main dish and two side menus (including bread or rice and soup, JPY1,480). If you add one more Deli dish (JPY300), you will be surely satisfied with its amount and quality as you can see on the photo. Those menus are changed due to the season, because they always serve the seasonal and fresh local vegetables.

As the rainy front is still stuck on the main land of Japan, the end of rainy season is supposed to be late until the beginning of August. Just before the rain this morning, the summit area of Iwatake was in the refreshing cool air with the thin fogs. By the way, THE CITY BAKERY starts a new dish, “Sausage Danish (JPY600, available from 11:00 a.m.) from 18th of July (Sat).

On 23rd of July (Thu), “Strider Bike Park” (No fees, sign up at Guide Center) has been open at the Sky Ark side of Beech Forest. Even the young kids who don’t ride on MTB yet can also enjoy this park. The rental fee of the Strider Bike (with a helmet) is JPY500 per half hour and if you bring your own bike, there will be no fees.
