On June 19th (Fri), the travel restrictions among prefectures in Japan has been unlocked. This sunday on June 21st (Sat), we had a brilliant sunny day and visitors took the gondola which was open at 8:30 a.m. one after another. The seats on the deck of HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR had a good shade for chilling in the morning (Photo).

The deck was a good spot for shooting Mt. Shirouma-dake (2,932m, photo) which is the highest peak of Ushiro-tateyama-renpo mountain range. The heat eased up and we had a cool day with a breeze from the south today. In the beech forest, the free chairs gave us a relaxing time with refreshing air in the shades of trees.

Now, the gondola of Hakuba Iwatake provides a free ticket for the pet which comes with the residents of Nagano Pref, Itoigawa and Joetsu City in Niigata Pref until July 19th (Sun). I met a family from Azumino City in Nagano and they talked to me, “We take our dog, Futa (Photo), to Iwatake because of the fine weather. This is our second time including the last year.” There were also some families who were enjoying Iwatake with their pets.

At the entrance of Nezuko Forest, there are 2 unique chairs made of withered trees (Photo). A father from Ibaraki Pref. said, “I have never been to Iwatake before. It is hard for me to decide which area to visit for the next because they are too exciting.” At the further area of this forest, you will find a swing which will make you feel like Heidi, Girl of the “Northern” Alps.
