All courses, except for the middle and lower area of Kamikaze Downhill, are now open at Hakuba Iwatake MTB PARK. The park is closed every Monday and Tuesday before summer holiday, until July 9 (Tue). The current courses will be inspected and new courses will be constructed on the regular closing holidays.

It has been hot these days all over Japan. However, it was cloudy and cool at the top area of Hakuba with the temperature at +21℃, and the gentle breeze from the northeast felt nice. I had a relaxing time trekking in Nezuko Forest (shown in the photo) where fresh green leaves were beautiful.

The cost for a ticket for dogs riding on Gondola is 600 yen per dog. In addition, you can take your pet dogs to the dog park and facilities beside Sky Ark for free. You can also sit out with your dogs on the terrace at HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR (※No pets allowed inside Sky Ark). I saw a dog named “Tan-chan” coming from Matsumoto City.

Checkout system at THE CITY BAKERY has changed since last year. Please proceed to the southern dining space (shown in the photo) at first, choose what you would like to eat, like croissant sandwiches and cookies, and then head to the register, order a drink and pay. Please go to the northern shop to pick up your drink. Only the northern shop will be open depending on the situation.

The terrace started to get crowded around 9 a.m. The western sky gradually cleared up around 11 a.m. and the ridge of Ushiro Tateyama Mountian Range, including Mt.Hakuba (shown in the photo), got visible. I saw lots of people taking photos of Hakuba Sanzan at the Northern Alps observatory.
