It was a sunny day after the typhoon has passed, and the sunshine was strong from the morning. The temperature was +22°C at 9 a.m., but I was started to get sweat as I walk around the lily park at the summit. Although it was a weekday, the area was crowded after 9 a.m. because of the summer vacation season.

I was worried of damages to the flowers by the storm but they kept beautiful. Sukashi-yuri (Thunberg lily) were at their best. White and pink flowers were bloomed at the North Alps side, and yellow, orange, red and white flowers were bloomed in the gondola side.

Some lilies were started to bloom in beech forest walking trail. I could avoid the direct sunlight, and weak wind was blowing sometimes and it was comfortable. Some visitors were spread the picnic sheet and relaxing.

Cleomes were in full bloom at the summit area. Water was sprinkling around the flowers and it was cool-looking scenery. Cleomes were also blooming at the back of gondola base station.

Sukashi-yuri (Thunberg lily) were out of bloom at the bottom area. Hybrid lilies were in bloom instead and they were at their best especially in Akamatsu Forest. They have strong aroma, colorful and large flower petals, and I could enjoy the differences from Sukashi-yuri.
