Iwatake Lily Park has opened on Jun. 30 (Sat). The end of rainy season in Kanto Koshinetsu region was announced yesterday even though it was June. It was the earliest since records began. There were many clouds this morning and only a little sunlight came through at Hakuba Valley. The temperature was +28°C at 10:30 a.mm and I felt hot and humid.

Lily at the foot was 20% in bloom and the slope facing Gondola Base Station was beautifully covered. I saw visitors stopping to watch lilies or take pictures. The ground was soft due to the rain we had until yesterday. However, it was not muddy thanks to the grass cover and my shoes did not get so dirty.

Orange lily began to bloom on the slope which is on the left side of the entrance (under Rai Pair). You can enjoy the view around Rai Pair Lift Station because there is a course for mountain bike on the upper area of the slope.

Downhill Course is being closed until 10:30 a.m. due to the bad condition. Maybe partially because of that, I saw many people enjoying at Funride Course or Dual Pump Track. In addition to advanced riders, there were families and local students of Hakuba Secondary School as well.

I saw people enjoying the view at the Northern Alps Observatory or walking around Nezuko-no-mori in the early morning. Construction of Summit Terrace & Cafe, which is going to open this autumn, has finally started. Sky Arch, where you can take a break and have meals, opens at 8:30. Lunch Time is 11:00 a.m.–14:00 p.m.
