On weekends in Oct. 8 (Sat) －Oct. 30 (Sun), Iwatake gondola starts the operation at 7:30 a.m. Although the weather had not been good in this season, we had three straight fine days from Friday to Sunday. During walking in the south slope where a lot of lilies were blooming beautifully in the summer season, Northern Alps and Autumn mountains showed me an impressive view under the clear sky.

Downhill course for MTB starts from near the mountaintop and goes 523m down. The 2 visitors from Niigata prefecture said, “We have just started MTB, but we really like this course because it is kept in good condition”. The trees around here will start to turn into Autumn tints and please our eyes in several days. (*MTB Downhill Course will be open on weekends until Oct. 30 and Nov. 3－Nov. 6)

30－40% of the trees in Nezuko-no-mori Forest started to change their color. I could see leaves turned into yellow and those above my head kept my eyes while I was walking around. I also found a petite Autumn in a small trees around my feet.

The further area of Nezuko-no-mori Forest called “Autumn Tints Road” is also getting yellowish green. This is one of the most beautiful places of Iwatake in the Autumn peak season. In the soft sunlight through the trees, the comfortable sound of leaves trembling in the south wind relaxed me well.

Northern Alps View Deck got crowded gradually around 9:00 a.m and people took photos in front of the great Autumn mountains. Some of them who love mountains enjoy telling the names of mountains by the shapes. If you visit here for the first time, the guide board will help you well.
