After the lily garden had been closed on Aug. 28 (Sun), Hakuba Iwatake is open again as “Hakuba Iwatake Autumn Forest Mountain View” today. It stopped raining already and was foggy in the summit area of Iwatake around 9:30 a.m.

Guide Tour is held every day from today to the last day. In “Short Course”, you can walk around Nezuko-no-mori Forest for 1 hour with Nordic poles (Adult JPY1,000, Child JPY500). The professional guides show you how to walk with poles and the alpine plants in the forest. You can also choose “Long Course” (2 hours) and “Climb-down Course” (3 hours) as well.

It takes about 1 hour and a half to walk around Nezuko-no-mori Forest Nature Course. The leaves had just started to change the color into yellow. It seemed to reach the peak in mid-Oct. to late-Oct.

In the forest, there is a beautiful path called “Autumn Tints Road”. In a fine day, you can see great peaks of mountains of Hakuba. I found many fallen leaves on the paths.

After a walk in the forest, I had “Kuromoji Tea” (JPY250, Hot or Iced) at Sky Ark. Kuromoji is a kind of shrubs and the tea has slight sweet and refreshing flavor. Tea Set (photo, JPY500) includes the tea and a daily sweet. This toothpick is also made from Kuromoji.
