Nikko Kisuge has become in full bloom at Kamaike Marsh, which was about 10 days to two weeks later than the last year. It’s one-day flower, which are open in the morning and closed at night. However, the flowering season is long as many flowers get open one after another. There were still many fresh buds this morning, which were photogenic.

Many people were stopping and taking photos with their phones or cameras, impressed by the beautiful scenery. It was cloudy but I could see the Northern Alps.

Happo One Nature Trail was quiet in the morning as many climbers and hikers arrived late today probably because of the rainy season, dull weather and approaching typhoon. I could sometimes see the blue sky in the west, however, the sun was behind clouds all day. It was really cool even though it’s already July. The wind was hard when I was walking along the trail.

I passed many people who stayed overnight at the top and were coming down at the upper area of Shimo-no-kaba. Regular summer route was open except for about 10 meter – area covered with snow just before Ogi-no-Setsuden.

I took the route without snow from Ogi-no-Setsuden to Maruyama Cairn. Meanwhile, people who had crampons or poles were taking a shortcut across the snow valley. Not only Nikko Kisuge but also Chinguruma flowers were beautiful.
