At 8:00 in this morning, it was overcast in the mountain foot area. However, as I climbed up in Ridge Trail of Happo Nature Trail, the weather got better and the clear autumn sky spread over us before Shakujii Cairn.

The temperature was just 5.5 degrees in Kurobishi-daira under the clouds, but we could enjoy trekking comfortably in the upper part from Shakujii Cairn, thanks to the sunlight. On my left side, I could find the snow fallen on 10/16 (Mon) still remaining on the north face of Mt. Goryu.

Anyway, how beautiful the sea of clouds is!! It really attracted me among the simple colors of Happo in Fall, so I looked back again and again. In the ridge trail, the fogs sometimes came up from the south, but the north wind blew them away soon.

Around the Happo-ike Pond, the view changed into that of early Winter. There were also remaining snow on the summit of Northern Alps and the pond reflected the mountains in its surface.

In Shimo-no-kanba, all leaves of Dakekanba had fallen already and the white stems made a beautiful contrast with the blue sky. The autumn tints are coming down day by day. On this weekend, Oct. 21 (Sat) and 22 (Sun), the peak will come to Kitaone Kogen (1,200m).
