I was hoping for the snow covered moutains for last report of the season. It rained last ight and the night before last so the snow of Hakuba Sanzan got thawed. The weather was fine this morning and ridgeline was overlooked sometimes.

The wind was so strong like the previous report (Oct. 25), and it was very cold. So I chose the east-faced board walk because the wind was weak. But as I went up to where Happo Cairn was in sight, the wind was strong as the ridge trail and it was cold too.

The cloud increased from Northern Alps side but the blue sky was very clear, it was beautiful unique to early winter. Still more, public toilets (the lower right of photo) was already closed. The ropes of some section of trekking trail was removed too.

The hands were shivered with cold and I regretted because didn’t bring gloves. The wind was strongest between Happo Cairn and No.3 Cairn. When I reached near Happo-ike, frosts and ices were scattered all around like jewels.

Kurobishi No.3 Pair had ended in October 10. Gondola, Alpen Quad, Grat Quad and Kita-one Quad will end the season in November 1. We sincerely thank you for visiting Happo-one and watching the report this season.
