Tsugaike Kogen/ ◎240cm / Snowy & Sunny2020.Mar.18
The amount of fresh snow was 20cm yesterday, 20cm yesterday, and 40cm today! The officially announced snowfall recorded 240 cm, the largest in this season, and the champions (* along the first pair of Tsugaike) and the Maruyama slopes have been revived. I passed the Tsuga no Mori slope where snow removal was prolonged and headed to the middle of the Han-no-ki.

On the steep slope in the middle of Han-no-ki, more than 50cm of fresh snow from the day before yesterday welcomed us. I felt a little heavy, but did not bottom out at all, and when I slid straight, I got a pleasant floating feeling. In the early part of the Han-no-ki, the fresh snow was about 7 to 8 cm on the soft powdery ground in the beginning, and the fresh snow was about 15 cm on the same ground in the middle.

“I’ve always seen it! I didn’t expect it to fall so much. I’m glad to slide on the powder barn at this time.” Says five people from Matsumoto. At the end of the Han-no-ki, the fresh snow was moist and wet, but it was safe enough for the snow to fall before the gondola middle station.

After 9 o’clock the second pair started to move. On the moderately soft powdered snow part of the Tsuga no Mori slope, fresh snow is about 10 cm, and non-compact snow part is about 40 cm of fresh snow. A couple from Kanto said, “I am going around the HAKUBA VALLEY ski area without deciding the schedule.”
