Tsugaike Kogen/ ◎205cm / Sunny2020.Feb.29

20022901_tsugaikeIt was a great day for skiing and snowboarding. The snow made a squeaking sound when I stepped on outside Gondola Sanroku station. The compacted powder snow was firm and felt great in Tsuga-no-mori Slope. The snow along No.1 Pair  (on the left side) was also compacted.

20022902_tsugaikeThe powder snow was great not only in Tsuga-no-mori but also in Gotenaba Course. It was fun challenging natural waves as they were bigger than usual. I enjoyed skiing smoothly and fast on the lower gentle slope.

20022903_tsugaikeThe snow was granular in the lower part of Hannoki but my ski ran smoothly with edges digging into the snow deeply. “We look forward to your reports. It’s a wonderful day today! We’re wearing a mask, goggles and gloves to prepare for coronavirus (haha).”, skiers from Ishikawa prefecture and Nagano city, Nagano prefecture said.

20022904_tsugaikeThe snow was non-compacted in Kane-no-naruoka and Kane-no-naruoka No.2 Slope. Some bushes and ground were uncovered with snow in Kane-no-naruoka. The snow was not powdery, not granular, but nicely wet in Maruyama Slope (pictured). The slope was crowded with students and people taking lessons.
