Tsugaike Kogen/ ◎170cm / Snowy2020.Feb.18

20021701_tsugaikeThe snow had fallen densely since last night, and I felt severe cold at the top of the ski area due to the intermittent strong winds. The fresh snow on the Tsuga-no-Mori  slope is about 25cm. Occasionally, the snow touched the ground tightly, but the tension of the powder increased after a long time.

20021702_tsugaikeOn the condensed snow part of the Han-no-ki slope, fresh snow was riding on a moderately soft ground 10 to 15 cm. Two people from Osaka Prefecture say, “I often go to ski resorts in Gifu prefecture because there is no snow at the ski slopes in the Kansai area, but there is still little snow. Hakuba is exceptional in both snow quality and quantity!” I gave you

20021703_tsugaikeFresh snow is 15 to 20 cm on the non-compact snow part of the Han-no-ki Slope. The people who fall with the edge on the hard undulation of the ground were noticeable. The compact snowy Maruyama slope (pictured) had a soft base and was covered with fresh snow about 10cm, making it easy to slip.

20021704_tsugaikeOn the ski slopes with compacted snow, most people skid almost straight because the topped fresh snow about 10 cm made it difficult to speed up due to resistance. After that, the wind further intensified at the upper part of the ski area, and the second pair of the Han-no-ki High Speed Pair, between Gondola Middle Station and the summit station, was suspended.
