The annual “Tsugaike Children Winter Festival” was held at 10:00 on the bell-ring hill slope. Overlapping with the “Ski Children’s Day” held on the third Sunday of every month (lifts for elementary school students and younger are free!), There are many families at the venue. The Mochitsuki Tournament (photo), where the venue was moved to Tsugaike Park to avoid rain, was so popular that you could wait in line.

The prepared 10 kg of glutinous rice was divided into two portions of 5 kg each and used for children’s rice cake making experience. Small pestle was also prepared, so even children who had no power could happily grind. The resulting mochi was turned into yellow powder mochi on the spot and served to visitors.

The flyer distributed at the ticket counter had a lottery ticket. If you come to the venue and hand the flyer to the staff, you can turn the Garapon. The prizes include the special award “Jumbo Glico”, 1st class “Tsugaike Lift Invitation Ticket + 2 Assorted Sweets”, 2nd class “Territory Game or Card Game” and up to 6th class.

Unfortunately, one of the popular events, “Snow on the snow” was canceled due to rain and lack of snow. Instead, at the mini-mini fair in Grill Tsugaike, I was able to participate free of charge if I would like to participate in the “Takarazuku” (pictured). At the fair, basketball bingo, quoits, and shootings were available for 100 yen each, and candy and toy prizes were given.
