Tsugaike Kogen / △78cm / Sunny & Cloudy2019.Dec.28

19122801_tsugaikeWe had the heaviest snow this season from the night before the last till last night! Light, fresh snow was 20~25 cm deep around Gondola Sanroku Station this morning. It was freezing with the temperature at -7℃ in the early morning and the gentle northerly wind felt cold even after the slope opened.

19122802_tsugaikeThe flat area along Hannoki High-speed Pair was covered with enough powder snow with no bushes at all. My ski ran smoothly with edges cutting into the snow, which was amazing.

19122803_tsugaikeTsuga-no-mori Slope opened at 10 a.m. today. The soft, compacted area in the center was as wide as two pisten. The non-compacted area was covered with 50 cm of fresh snow at the deepest, although many bushes were still exposed. “We waited for 1 hour from 8 a.m. to take Tsuga No.2 Pair!”, a skier coming with his family said.

19122804_tsugaikeThe slope was crowded as the New Year’s holiday is coming. There was a 5-min waiting line around 9:00 a.m. at Hannoki High-Speed Pair Lift. Kane-no-naru-oka also opened at 11 a.m. as the Skyliner II started operation. Now I’m waiting for the middle and bottom area of Hannoki to open! (photo.)
