Tsugaike Kogen / △270cm / Cloudy & Sunny2019.Apr.12
Tsugaike Ropeway, which is open everyday until May.6 (Mon, holiday) was crowded with backcountry skiers and snowboarders from early morning and extra ropeways were operated later. High atmospheric pressure covered all over Japan and the sun kept appearing from and going behind clouds in the morning. According to the weather forecast, the atmospheric pressure would be unstable due to the cold air flows.

“The snow quality is amazing! It’s like the best season!”, a shopowner of NIKU Masa in Misorano said. The dry, compacted slope of Tsuga-no-mori was nicely soft, although it was not perfect powder snow.

TG PARKS was well-compacted and well-prepared too. “My snowboard ran too smoothly to jump…”, a digger who tried the kicker for the test run said. We had yellow sand from China over the last weekend but it has stopped. The slope has turned to white again after the snowfall.
