Tsugaike Kogen / ◎255cm / Sunny2019.Mar.25

19032501_tsugaikeIt was chilly and we got heavy snow from the night before last to this morning, although it was already late March. Powder snow was firmly compacted at Tsuga-no-mori Slope, which was amazing! I enjoyed gaining speed in the morning cool atmosphere.

19032502_tsugaikeThe compacted Hannoki Slope was also nice, fully covered with powder snow from top to bottom. “We visit Hakuba every year, at least once a year. The slope was covered with granular snow last year, however, the quality of snow is great today. Lucky us!”, a family coming from Shiga Prefecture said.

19032503_tsugaikeShirakaba snow was also had nice powder snow in the early morning. However, the snow surface was getting melted due to the sunshine around 9:30. My skis ran well and I enjoyed making turns on the soft slope.

19032504_tsugaikeOyanohara and Karamatsu Slope are over 800 meters above sea level, although they are in the lowest area. They were both covered with powder snow too. I saw some beginners enjoying themselves while some taking lessons, and the slope was filled with a peaceful atmosphere. It was a great day for skiing/snowboarding and the white Northern Alps looked beautiful from everywhere around the slope.
