The sun shined weakly and weather was calm. The snow sounded nicely under my feet when I got off the gondola. Along Han-no-ki High Speed Lift to the middle part of Han-no-ki was in great condition with nicely firm powder snow.

A father from Toyama Pref. said, “We always enjoy your report! We are planing to got to one of ski areas of Niigata Pref. but it was raining there. So we came to Tsugaike, also partly because it was Ski Children’s Day.” By the way, the spring season discount will start from tomorrow, on Mar. 18 and 1-day tickets will be reasonable; adult JPY3,700, and child JPY1,500.

In the early part of the wide & flat Shirakaba, wet snow was groomed firm and in the the last part, corn snow was melted soft. Many people were riding there, so shaved snow has started cover the middle of the course. Also, the forest course was groomed nicely firm and had powder snow feeling.

Kane-no-naru-oka was crowded with many families. The slope was bit hard with fine corn snow but skis were running well and I could make turns as I imagined. By the way, “Mochitsuki Event” was held at in front of Tsugaike Park from 10 a.m.
