It was drizzling at the bottom, followed by yesterday’s rain. But when I got off the gondola, blue sky was seen in the west and the sun shined through the clouds. It was windless and I felt no cold but the trees from the middle to the top of the ski area became white with frost.

Needle-like crystallized snow was falling at Tsuga-no-mori and I felt aching when snow hit my face. The groomed area of Tsuga-no-mori was nicely firm with corn snow and new snow was mixed. From 9 a.m., the area was started to became foggy.

A family from Osaka Pref. gave me the watch word, “Oh, Snownavi! We are happy to meet you!”. The area along Han-no-ki High Speed Lift was nicely soft, and the slope from middle to last part was melted soft.

I came under the cloud when I skied down to Kane-no-naru-oka No.2 where snow was melted nicely soft. The groomed Kane-no-naru-oka was covered with thin moisturized snow. The skis were not running well, so the beginners were struggling to ski there.
