Tsugaike Kogen / ◎275cm / Sunny2019.Feb.22
The clear blue sky spread and the view of Ushirotateyama mountains including Japanese Norh Alps, Mt. Korenge and Mt. Hakuba Norikura was wonderful. It became cold in the morning because of radiative cooling and after that, the temperature was risen by the strong sunshine. It became good day for sliding down in slopes after the opening time.
[Gondola]
The groomed burns along Hannoki high-speed pair lift were compacted well. The snow was not powdered but fine granular snow, so edges could catch the snow and we could make turns as we liked.
[Hannoki Slope]
We got a lot of sunlight at the middle of Hannoki Slope and the burn was compacted well. The granular snow became more rough as sliding down but it was still comfortable. We wanted slide down again and again using Hannoki the 3rd quad lift or gondolas.
[Hannoki Slope]
Kanenonaru Oka the 2nd Slope was flat & super wide, and the granular snow was compacted well. By the way, we have the biggest winter fire festival in HAKUBA VALLEY ‘the 48th Snow Festival’ in Kanenonaru Oka Slope on Feb. 23th (Sat.). There will be a lot of events including torch slidings, pisten parades, Matsukawa Kyogaku Drumming and fireworks.
