Both Shirakaba and Karamatsu Slope had early morning operation from 6:30 am and were crowded from the early morning. It was snowing lightly at Tsuga-no-mori Slope and the area along Hannoki High-speed Pair Lift. They were very nice, covered with soft groomed powder snow and 7-8 cm of fresh snow on the surface.
[Hannoki Slope]
I went to the non-groomed steep slope at the middle area of Hannoki to enjoy fresh snow from last night. There was about 30 cm of soft fresh snow at the deepest point and I enjoyed a floating feeling without having a bottom feeling when I went down with speed. I saw many people going up by Hannoki No.3 Quad and the non-compacted white slope got filled with tracks just in 30 minutes.

Hannoki Slope was thoroughly compacted and nicely soft, including the last area (shown in the photo). The northerly wind was blowing hard and it was snowing heavily at Maruyama Slope.

[Hannoki Slope]
Maruyama Slope and Kane-no-naruoka Slope was soft, covered with powder snow. The steep slope of Kanenaru was good especially for beginners who were likely to fall down. The slope got more and more crowded and there was about 20-minute wait at Gondola Sanroku Station, Karamatsu High-Speed Pair Lift and Tsugaike Chuo Triple Chair.
