Tsugaike Kogen / ◎170cm / Sunny & Cloudy2019.Jan.12
A soft sunlight cast on the slope and it was a nice day without wind today, the first day of the three-day weekend. However, it was cold with the temperature at -6℃ in the early morning as it was still January. When I got off Gondola and stepped on the snow surface, it made a nice sound. I could see the white Northern Alps from the top and I was impressed with the beautiful scenery.

Firm powder snow was well-compacted at Tsuga-no-mori Slope and I felt like skiing down the great slope again and again. Hannoki Slope was also covered with firm powder snow from the top to the bottom. There was shaved snow on the surface and it felt like softer than Tsuga-no-mori.

Maruyama Slope was compacted and firm. “I enjoy your reports. My child, who is in the sixth grade of elementary school, will take a lesson at Tsugaike Ski School this morning to get a ski certificate next week.”, a man coming from Toyama Prefecture said. For your information, the application of the ski school opens at 8:45.

Kanenonaruoka Slope was crowded with families and beginners and filled with a friendly atmosphere. My skis ran well on the wide, flat, firm slope. I appreciate everyone, including a couple enjoying monoski, speaking to me this morning.
