The temperature was 0℃ (actual measurement) when I arrived at Gondola Sancho Station. There was no wind and it was not so chilly. However, I supposed there was a cold air because I could see crystals in snowflakes. The area along Hannoki High-speed Pair was well-compacted and nice with powder snow.

Middle and lower area of Hannoki was non-compacted today too. It was nice with gentle ups and downs and soft snow surface. There were some icy parts, however, advanced skiers and snowboarders didn’t seem to mind, gaining speed.

Anyway, it’s warm with a little snow this year all around Japan. The 5,000m long course, which starts from Tsuga-no-mori Slope to Gondola Sanroku Station via Hannoki and Oyanohara Slope, is precious. As I reached the last area of Hannoki, snow calmed down.

Tsuga-no-mori Slope was about 60% compacted and covered with powder snow at the center, like the area along Hannoki High-speed Paid Lift. There were some icy parts here as well but it was not a problem if I just took care. Non-compacted area was like monaka with about 3cm of crunchy surface snow and dry snow below that.
