Tsugaike Kogen / ◎260cm / Cloudy2018.Jan.22
A group of three came from Hyogo Pref. told me, “It was snowing heavily yesterday afternoon”. The snow piled up about 10-15 cm on the upper area, 3-5cm on the bottom. It snowed very hard in a short period.

Tsuga-no-mori was groomed and in a great condition with powder snow. Powder snow piled up for the first time in a while so I got excited for that. But on non-groomed area, there was 10-15 cm fresh snow on hard bumpy ground and it made hard to ski. Sometimes I found people falling down.

At the groomed area of Han-no-ki, I also could enjoy the softness of the fresh snow. The amount of the fresh snow on the sides along Han-no-ki No.3 Quad was about 10-15 cm but the ground was moderately hard so I could enjoy powder snow.

Since it was the beginning of the week, less Japanese were on the slope but lots of international customers. As Han-no-ki HIT PARK opened at 9:15 a.m, lots of people started to be up and I heard people excited every where. On Oya-no-hara and Karamatsu which were groomed and had the fresh snow mixed with granulated snow, the lessons for students were held.
