Tsugaike Kogen / ◎265cm / Sunny & Cloudy2018.Jan.16
The clouds were two layered this morning and I got over the lower clouds when on the gondola. I could see the blue sky in the west. The widely groomed slope along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair Lift nicely firm powder snow and skiing was easy.

Soon the sun peeped through the higher clouds and the ski area got brighter sometimes. The temperature was high but the slope from middle to bottom of Han-no-ki was nicely frim. Some advanced snowboarders were making ground tricks and went down the slope easily.

A gentleman from Kanagawa Pref. gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your reports!” He said that this was first visit in last 25 years and last visit was when he was students. Skier’s left of Champion area was groomed for 70% of the slope and nicely firm. The remaining slope was non-groomed and it had small bumps.

At 9:00 a.m. the clouds covered the upper part of ski area. Oya-no-hara and Karamatsu were crowded with beginners and the slopes were groomed nicely firm. Some advanced snowboarders were also making ground tricks using the gentle slope.
