The snow fell heavily from last night to this morning. The amount of the fresh snow was about 20cm at the base area. The Gondola was stopped from the Central station to the Summit station because of the strong wind. The visitors who wanted to go the upper took Shirakaba Quad, which began working on time at 8:10 a.m.

There was about 30cm of the fresh snow at Shirakaba. I saw some people went to the non-groomed area at both sides of the course. On the other hand, the moderately firm and flat groomed area was covered with 3-5cm of the fresh snow, which was in good condition to ski.

At the northern area of Shirakaba, there is a steep slope to Karamatsu High-speed Pair from the middle part. There was 40cm of the powder snow and I felt floating when I entered there. The visitors skied spreading snow dust, so the slope got rough only in 30 minutes.

It was snowing and foggy but didn’t influence on skiing. About 5cm of the fresh snow was on the moderately firm groomed slope at Matuyama and Kane-no-naru-oka. I could make turns many times comfortably. In this morning, many people talked to us, including the families from Osaka and Aichi. Thank you.
