The operation of Gondola has been suspended for two days in a row. Since I have been waited for powdery snow at the middle of Han-no-ki, I went to Han-no-ki by Shirakaba Quad which started operating at 8:10. A half of Shirakaba was groomed and it had 20cm fresh snow on it. The other was non-groomed.

It was snowing hardly with the strong wind coming from North at the end of Han-no-ki No3. The middle of Han-no-ki which I had wanted to go to was non-groomed with 110cm fresh snow on it. Even though it was 30 degrees incline, the board easily got stuck to snow so I became very careful when I made turns.

People were riding into the deep powdery snow one after another. People were shouting with joy. The area was groomed about 30 meter wide and covered with 20cm fresh snow. So the middle to bottom part of Han-no-ki area was full of powder snow!

Champion Quad started operating at a few minutes past 8:00. Two customers said to me “I always enjoy your articles. I was looking for you while I was on a lift. I enjoyed comfortable snow and I felt like I was floating”.
