This morning, the Christmas Eve morning, it was a nice weather. It was not windy and not too cold. A couple from Shizuoka Prefecture gave me the watchword, “We always read reports!” They also talked delightfully, “Yesterday, we snowboarded Happo and today Tsugaike. Both areas are wonderful!”

The range of Northern Alps looked like that it would melt into the white sky. Tsuga No.2 Pair was open at 8:30 a.m. Many back-country skiers and snowboarders went to the woodland path to Tsugaike Nature Park. So there were few people in Tsuga-no-mori in the early morning.

Tsuga-no-mori with groomed snow made by powder snow stepped on was wonderful in both board’s running and edge biting. The slope along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair was also in good condition with soft groomed snow. The snow at middle and bottom of Han-no-ki were harder than that of the top, but good to ski.

Shirakaba was moderately firm with groomed snow on the all surface. There were a lot of advanced skiers who went down with big turns at high speed. Two skiers from Shiojiri City in Nagano stopped skiing and said to me, “We always enjoy your reports!”. Champion and Oyanohara were also moderately firm and good to ski.
