The Gondola at Tsugaike plans to begin the operations at 8:00 a.m. from Dec 9 (Sat) unless any problems happen and it is the earliest open in Hakuba Valley. In this morning, the snow fell weakly at the upper part of the ski slope without a wind. The sun shined weakly and we could see the wonderful view.
[Han-no-ki]
The snow was flat and properly tight at the upper part of Han-no-ki, and about 2cm of fresh snow covered there. It was soft and we felt comfortable. The fresh snow was a little bit wet, but we could ski without any problems even at the gentle slope. Many people didn’t go down and used only Han-no-ki High-speed Pair.

There were about 7cm of fresh snow at Tsuga-no-mori. About 1-2cm of the fresh snow covered the properly tight groomed slope. Therefore, it was in good conditions to ski. A man from Nagano city talked to us and he comes to Tsugaike twice in total.
[Tsuga-no-mori]
When we went down to the middle part of Han-no-ki, we found that the groomed slope was a little wet. The snow at the steep slope along Han-no-ki No.3 Quad was damaged by the edges of skies. There were less snowfall near Gondola Central Station, but we could ski across Han-no-ki No1 Quad without any problem. In addition, we could ski the inter-forest course from the bottom part of Han-no-ki to the bottom part of Shirakaba although we need to take care of the condition of the snow.
