The ski area was covered in snow again after the night. The amount of fresh snow was more than Nov 16th(Thu), also the roads were more slippery especially in the early morning. The clouds were thick until 8 am, gradually melted afterwards and the sun occasionally peeked through the clouds.

It has been snowy since yesterday in the Tsuga-no-mori area and along Han-no-ki high-speed pair lift, the snow is now at a depth of 20-30 cm. Tsuga-no-mori’s trees are covered in snow as well. However, they are not ready for opening unless we have more snow.

There were some snowdrifts or places that have little snow, they showed how strong yesterday’s north wind was. The snow near the ground at the top of the ski area was frozen and footprints remained white.

Along Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair that will be open first, we saw some bushes (see following picture). However, we have been using snow compactors and snow machines to be fully prepared for opening. You might be able to enjoy skiing here on Nov 23rd (Thu/Public holiday) at the earliest.
