It has been sunny for 3 days. It wasn’t cold from the early morning and the time was running slowly at Kane-no-naru-oka. The snow wasn’t powdery in the slopes, but they were groomed well except Umanose and so the condition was generally good to ski.

From the upper to the middle part Han-no-ki, the slope was firm but the edges bit the snow well, and I could ski comfortably with speed. Many people were taking Gondola or Han-no-ki No.3 Quad to enjoy the long distance skiing and snowboarding.

A group of 4 people from Shizuoka Pref. are one of such snowboarders, and they gave me the watchword, “We enjoy your report everyday!” Early in the morning, there were only few people because of a weekday in March, so the vast slope was like a private slope.

Around 9:00 a.m., the surface of the snow was melted nicley at Kanenaru and it was good to ski. Then Maruyama and Kane-no-naru-oka No.2 became the same condition. As to shuttle buses, HAKUBA VALLEY shuttle bus, Otari shuttle bus and Otari Night bus are available until Mar. 20 (Sun), Happo, Iwatake and Tsugaike shuttle buses are available until Mar. 26 (Sun) and Night shuttle bus “Genki” was ended at Feb. 28.
