Today, on Mar. 4 (Sat), Tsugaike Ropeway has started the early spring operation! We had good snowfall yesterday and the clear sky spread out this morning. Today was an ideal day for riding, so I found many people getting on the ropeway one after another when it was open at 8:30 a.m.

We can enjoy various alpine flowers, such as Mizubasho, in Tsugaike Nature Park during the summer season. In the winter, we can enjoy snowshoeing and walking in the large snowfield. The snow spray on the peaks of Northern Alps showed it was blowing a strong wind in the summit areas. It was also windy sometimes in the nature park.

Rindo Course from Tsuga-no-mori to Roperway Nature Park Station is groomed and you can hike up without the ropeway. I met people from Nagano and Toyama Pref. They gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports” and after that, they went backcoutry skiing.

By the way, the snow condition of the ski area was greatly improved thanks to the good snowfall yesterday. Especially, Tsuga-no-mori was covered with beautiful corduroy patterns and nicely soft. Han-no-ki and Shirakaba were also fine and I could ski down comfortably from the top to bottom.
