While a low pressure was developing and passing over Honshu, it started to snow heavily before dawn. Tsuga No.2 Pair couldn’t start operating on time, so I went to non-groomed slope along Han-no-ki No.3 Quad. The snow was about 25 cm deep but a little wet and the bottom was hard, though I could enjoy skiing “fluffy snow” almost with no turns.

Along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair and in the middle to the lower part of Han-no-ki, the slope was well groomed and firm with 15-20 cm fresh snow on the surface. It was still dark and foggy due to thick clouds, though it didn’t bother my skiing. Uma-no-se and the upper part of Rinkan (Course Through The Forest) were closed for fear of avalanche.

As I was skiing down, snowfall was getting wet and I felt fresh snow on the slope became heavier. There was 10-15 cm new snow on the flat slopes of the lower part of Champion, Oya-no-hara and Karamatsu. I saw beginners stuck and struggling in it.

There was 15-20 cm new snow on a well groomed slope of Shirakaba, too. After some people were skiing, it got rough and so I had to be careful. It was snowing heavily even around 10 a.m.
