The weather was changing rapidly at time and altitude. The snow was falling at below Shirakaba but the sunlight was cast occasionally at Tsuga-no-mori and the fog covered the area sometimes as well. The groomed slope was in a nice powdery condition and I could make turns comfortably.

Han-no-ki was groomed widely and corduroy patterns were beautiful. This family, from Kyoto Pref., said that they were enjoying the high quality snow condition for 3 days from Feb. 11 (Sat.).

People were start slowly because of weekdays. The corduroy patterns were remained even after 2 or 3 runs with Han-no-ki No.3 Quad. But some snowboarders waved hand to my camera and some students from Meiji University were practicing.

The widely groomed run of Maruyama was covered with thin fresh snow. There were only few people in the course so I could make big turns without hesitation. At around 10 a.m. upper part of the ski area was covered with the fog and the snow, which was weakened, was started to fall bit stronger again.
