Though the strong wind was blowing, but the gondola began operation at 8:00 a.m. The operations of Tsuga No.2, Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair and No.3 Quad were delayed, so many people took the gondola in the morning. It was snowing with thick fog, so the visibility was poor. The couple gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your reports!” and they skied down smartly.

The groomed run of the Han-no-ki was nicely firm from the start to the end. And fresh snow was about 5cm on the run along Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair, and about 10cm on the middle and the bottom part. After 9:00 a.m. the run got rough, but I could ski easily because the snow was dry and soft.

Maruyma was groomed widely and covered with 10 cm fluffy fresh snow. The run under fresh snow was moderately firm and flat, so I could enjoy the powder snow. The runs of the bottom areas, like Karamatsu, Oya-no-hara and Kane-no-naru-oka, were also groomed widely and covered with 5 cm fresh snow I could ski comfortably.

There were 40 cm of fluffy powder snow on the non-groomed run along the Champion Quad! 2 people who living in Hakuba for winter said, “We always enjoying your reports!” And they couldn’t stop smiling for a lot of powder snow. There were only few people at Champion, so I enjoyed the powder snow many times without bothering.
