Thanks to the good snow on Dec. 28 (Wed) and Dec. 29 (Thu), the available areas have been expanded as follows: Kane-no-naru-oka and Oya-no-hara on Dec. 28 (Wed), Shirakaba, Maruyama and the lower part of Champion on Dec. 29 (Thu), Kane-no-naru-oka No.2, Karamatsu and Course Through the Forest on Dec. 30 (Fri). Finally, Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort has announced that “All areas are open (*except for Umanose Course)”.

However, the snow amount in the middle and lower parts is still not enough. Besides, the slopes were very crowded with people because the New Year season has begun, so this morning, I found bushes again in Shirakaba, Maruyama and lower Han-no-ki although those areas were in better condition yesterday. By the way, thank you all for your cheers and greetings today!!

When I got off the gondola, it was snowing slightly and the sunlight was blocked off. The slope along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair and Tsuga-no-mori were finely groomed and I could make turns as I imagined. I felt a little cold in the upper parts, but they were highly recommended to enjoy the awesome condition of the snow.

Kane-no-naru-oka was not groomed. In some parts, I found the bumps of the ground, bushes and soil, but a lot of beginners were enjoying skiing and snowboarding there. At around 9:20 a.m, Chuo, No.1, No.2 and Champion parking areas were already full and 30% of No.3 parking area were also filled with cars.
